I've taught my children how to Google. Very useful for school projects and assignments. In particular I've shown them how to use Google images. They find the images they want, then copy and paste them into a Word document.
My 11 yr old daughter needed to make a cover for her new Technology textbook. So she found four images to represent "Technology" and pasted them onto the cover of her book.
This evening she proudly presented her work to me. Under each picture she had written a caption, as per the image description on Google. There was a picure of a conceptal spiral, entitled "Innovative Technology", another of an iPhone as "State of the Art Technology", another was a picture of bottles on a laboratory workbench, "Oil-extraction Technology".
Finally there was an impressive technical drawing of something that looked like the schematic of a rocket engine. But I almost choked when I read the caption, "Tomorrow's Masturbation Technology."
It wasn't easy explaining why she needed to make a few changes before taking her book to school...
I'd post a link to the contraption, but I don't want to go the way of the Dutch Defence.

strong story,
makes you wonder that its good you helped them to google at a young age for their schoolwork. Or that it will end up bad since theres alot of schocking things to find on google...
Besides, doesnt google always find more of the kinda same subjects as you allways search on it? so what have you been googling for lately Gatecrasher?
might explain why your daughter found that so easily😛

Boy, was that ever a mistake! 🙁
I started getting porn ads!
I suspect that a spyware tracker was responsible. 😠

I decided to watch the original Star Trek just yesterday with my child. I was so embarrassed! First off, Kirk was split into 2 and the evil one had eyeliner on. Try explaining to a developing mind why a man is wearing makeup.
Next, evil Kirk is boozing it up and tries to rape that blond lady (not the doctor, the one in red who always takes notes and gets coffee.) Anyway, he throws her around a while, and she scratches his face. Next... some guy from the corridor tries to help, and Kirk gives him a healthy beating too.
Finally, good Kirk has to treat bad Kirk like some space chick to win his heart over, and they take a transporter ride together. Good Kirk is holding bad Kirk and starts 'rubbing' his shoulder. I was rather sickened!
After watching the whole thing, my child looks at me and says "Want Hotdog?!"
Yes son, I didn't want you to have to see that.
