This guy seems to know what he's talking about! He is pushing his book though, so it's a sales pitch but it's stll a great animation.

I've been talking about Calabi-Yau spaces for the last week. Don't you learn anything?

Rec'd! This is very good. However, the latest discovery is that all the different string theories came together when they decided there is an 11th dimension.

Not quite that all the different string theories didn't come together? or not quite what?

Maybe you haven't seen the latest on string theory?

I just want to know how to go back to my originating dimension and tell myself to give Billy Gates some cash for MS DOS.

When you start talking to me about M-theory I will have a better understanding of where you are at. Until then, take my word for the fact that unification of superstring theory has not amalgamised.

We should've stopped at three and just had one loooong vacation.

I haven't sent them my latest on M-theory yet so there's no way you would know any more than they do. 🙂

They being whom? Take me through Heterotic-E and type 11A as a two dimensional membrane and migrate it through 3 then 5 supersymmetries and tell me there are no more dimensions on those membranes! And you think they are unified?

The both seem to be theories in search of reality. The problem with them is they don't really predict anything about OUR universe, just showing that there may be an infinite # of alternate universes out there with differant rules, such as the speed of light being 2 meters per second in some and 2 trillion meters per second in another. That is all well and good but it is looking through a whole lot of haystacks to find the one that fits our little corner of the multiverse.

What post were you talking about them? I have been extremely busy these last few weeks and can only spend a limited amount of time here.

Does it hurt to be as intelligent as you?
