Careful Div... those are dangerous thoughts. You don't want to land in a doublethink class never to be seen again.

they are an accepted and sometimes well-respected members who assume a sort of informal and unofficial leadership role.

They use this position to intimidate and assert their views on newer and less established members and often push their weight around to mark territorial rights.

They will generally try and behave properly, but subtly try and behave like moderators and preach about forum behaviour.

They will also turn and insult people as they wish and surprisingly other forum members will turn a blind eye to them.

These people are often the starting point of cliques because they can gather a group of yes-people around them in no time.

Beware of these people and watch out for them because they can be a lot more trouble in the long run than isolated trolls running loose.

change a few of the words, sounds a lot like christianity to me...

Or Inner Circle, but that usually gives these people even more swelled heads & is considered more of a compliment as this is how they see themselves. A group above all the other mere mortals on the site.

Your Wolfpack suggestion sounds closer to truth than fiction.

Here are a few morsels of pertinent food for thought. Past three days (the 72 hours elapsed between 8/23 and 8/26) thread counts on three popular RHP Public Forums were as lollows:

Debates = 38, Spirituality - 32 and the General Forum 19. Total of eighty (89) threads, of which the GF accounts for less than 22%, only half as many as Debates. Just what do these stats

signify, I'm not sure. Came as a huge surprise that this premier forum seems to have pitifully muckled on to the hindmost teat. Something's inhibiting the normal dynamics of the gf.

What?

Has your return to the GF anything to do with it?
I don't think anyone has done those stats before so it may not. Just asking is all.

There are many who do not post regularly in these forums anymore.

Also as in years past, things do slow down in the summer time, perhaps not as slow, but it is par for the course.
