No worries bro, until theres a firm decision, you're probably right.
I live in Dublin, but i'm not a dub, so i cant say where's best, so i'm just hoping this is a good place.

I'm hoping the next post by cads will wrap some of this up 🙂
Hey, I'm a Dub born and bred. You can ask me! 😏

The fact that you posted that means you may be called upon by the Cad man at a later stage 😵

Could you be free for the 14th, thats the problem though.

oh yeah, do you know where to buy a chess set in Dublin ? Cads sent me a link to amazon the other month, but they cant deliver to Ireland for some reason.

You can get a decent chess set on caple street. Theres a martial arts store on the corner (of Henry/Capel St.s) that also do chess/checkers sets. Anywhere from 20 euro to about 80 euro.

Wot 'e sed...

It's good advice. But perhaps better advice is to buy one on your holliers, if you go to the right kind of place. You get much more for your ducat.

And most likely I won't be here, unfortunately.

Damn- and I was jealous when there was a London meet, and I couldn't go. Now there's on my stomping ground, and I won't be here.

Cheers mate. You know i bought a load of martial arts stuff there, and i never even realised there were chess sets in the shop. . .and i've been to it a few times.

Think they are aiming for the chess-boxing crowd, could be an idea for another meetup.
Or maybe we could just tool up in case we pick the wrong pub for the meet up.

Any more suggestions other than the Quill for this?
ie dont want to be held responsible if ye think the place is muck.

Worst pub in dub..that place across from the ambassador, so bad I cant remember the nam, or possibly Q Bar.

Best Pubs, surely Keoghs or Nearys

I don't think we need to labour this anymore.

I hereby announce that the First Ireland meet up will take place on October 14th at The Quill.

Right what I need from you Dub's
1. Someone to contact the management in person and make sure we will have a room where we can get pis....play chess on the 14th.
2. Suggestions on where we can get enough chess sets.
3. Information on local B&B's that are both luxurious and cheap.
4. Someone to take over the organising of this event.(I will help out as much as possible but I am hectic at work and I cannot put as much time into this as I would like.)

What I need from everyone else
1. Spread the word folks, lets make it a humdinger of a day out!
2. Anyone from the Irish clans please message your members and make sure everyone is aware this is happening.
3. I need your clothes, your boots and your motorcycle.....no wait, that's not it.

See you all real soon 🙂🙂🙂

Cad.

Thank you Russ,

For any who might not have been aware of this meet up, we will be having a day of chess and beer on the 14th October, at the Quill pub in Dublin. Anyone who can make it is most welcome.

Pm me if you need any more information.

Cheers
Cad.
