Indeed there is always time to take a nice stroll in the woods.
But if you see stairs in the woods, stay far away.

I understand, but sometimes even the religious get the wrong info for these things.

Good to see homework was done. 🙂

Last year was my saddest Christmas ever 😢
This year I got my ceramic tree lamp out in November. It’s been a great comfort.
Sorry to learn of that.

Well, at least we are still here to consider how badly things have gone! 😉

In which case I withdraw the Humbugs and wish you a joyous Christmas.
According to traditional Chinese medicine, too much joy is bad for the heart.

Yuletide, especially after the commingling of pagan dates with the Church, is generally considered from Dec. 21 (Winter Solstice) through Jan.1. Yes, coexisting with the Christmas 'season'. That was kind of the point of the commingling.

What was your source for that?
When I googled 'Yule', the dates popped up. Simpler than you might think.

There is no doubt that originally, Yule was a solstice celebration.

cut down a yule tree
drag it inside
await for the solstice soon to arrive
drag the tree back out
clean up the mess
then set it ablaze
we be blessed blessed blessed

it ain't really cold
but i'm old
and i feel it in my bones

When you use Google search, there's usually an AI bit that pops up first before the hits. It was in there. It said it was from Wikipedia, but when I went to Yule in Wikipedia, I never saw any actual dates either. I think AI likes to watch us chase our own tails.
