Christmas is what you make it.

When my parents were both alive the Christmas tree would go up on the 1st December and be taken down on 1st January - my Mother's thought that this was now a new year and Christmas was over.

I am now 67 and still put up the Christmas tree on December 1 and take it down on January 1.

Another tradition was to buy a few extra decorations for the tree; some of you may remember the old real decorations were VERY fragile in sticking the two-pronged mini hanger often ended in Oops !!!

If anyone wants to know the OLD art of hanging decorations let me know; to those who do, I am sure you will have many memories

Here it’s tree up Dec 10th…down Jan 2nd. Just a long time tradition, not sure why?🤔
