What are the other 3 languages you speak?

Originally posted by YEAH BOYwell, as a small kid you pick up languages very easily. probably also helped a lot with the other romance languages later. just like the swedish helped with other germanic languages. lots of things still give me trouble, but probably entirely different ones compared to what an english speaker has difficulties with.

It's a lot more common on social networking sites as they have easy access to contact information.
Over the years I've seen it happen once here - a few people got a PM from a new user asking for an email response.

no i can't speck a lot of the languages that worm can speak.. so therefore i have no idea which would be hardest to learn. but you on the other day do seem to know which would be hardest to learn... the only way i see this possible is if you have tried to learn them.

there are studies though which prove all languages are equally difficult or easy. children everywhere reach the same linguistic proficiency at the same age. on average.

from nothing (infancy) it is equally difficult/easy to learn any language.
I could invent a language and teach it to my kid just as easily as i could teach him german (I speak neither the made up language nor german).
However, once a language has been learned, it there are varying degrees of difficulty for learning various new languages because of the inherent mental prejudics instilled in us by our primary language.
Let me conjure up an example.
It would be just as easy to teach a newborne baby french as it would be to teach him swahili, assuming that the person doing the teaching is fluent in the respective languages. On the other hand, teaching the french baby Italian would be much easier than teaching the swahili baby Italian. Hope this makes sense, because I can't simplify it much more than that. And as always, there stands the enormous chance that I'm completely wrong.
