The best defence in the galaxy.
Cannavaro - what a player. Then you get my best mate (who is a huge England and Arsenal fan) saying that John Terry is better than him. Bah.
Zambrotta - What a player. Same idiot says that Ashley Cole is better than him. Bah
Buffon - Awesome. (Even the most obstinate, pig-headed English supporters can't say that Robins ...[text shortened]... e, Cannavaro can play in defence on his own.
Forza Italia.
Heads high lads.
Awesome.
When Juve go into Serie C, I want Toni and Camo to come to Roma.

Then tried to act tough and ignore the guy.
Guess that Samurai hairstyle affects his though process.

And he also has the best hairstyle in football. No joke. Some guys look terrible with long hair (like me for 5 years). You've either got it or you haven't. And Camo's hair for me is awesome.

Originally posted by asromacalcioCamoranesi provides valuable energy and dynamism. He doesn't look all that skilled, so when he starts to slow down his usefulness declines. It was clear that he was used up by the end of regulation (or somewhat before) and was a blunder or a red card waiting to happen. Lippi was right to sub him out, but I think he has a lot to contribute.

Derfel, every team has play-actors. Henry, Figo, Ballack, Larsson, Robben, the list goes on and on really. It even includes the almighty English-- search for "Gerrard Bolton Dive" on youtube.com and you'll find a particularly glaring example. Actually, searching for "Klinsmann 1990" will also bring up a very theatrical fall-- one that helped decide a world cup final.
(And Camoranesi is actually Argentine.)

Actually it's the other way around, 40% of Argentinians are Italian, Camoranesi included.

Originally posted by sasquatch672On paper neither of these sides should be a match for Italy, certainly not with our defence. But as we all know it can work differently on the day, as France proved against Brazil.
Very well played match, hard fought on both sides. A shame someone had to lose, but I was very glad it didn't come to penalties. Now the only question left to answer is: Will France, after today's impending 7-0 demolition of the Portugal womens' national team, during which we will see Zidane kick the ball through Cristiano Renaldo - will they be an unstoppable force or have nothing left for Italy?
I hope the best team wins tonight, I'm fed up of all this mudslinging (apart from that aimed at Ronaldo, although I repeat I wish him no harm).
