On top of all that the storm is going to hit over half the American States, there is sure to be Power outages all over.

Another thing that has been in the news is that the PRC has already built twice as much electrical capacity as they currently need for their AI efforts, whereas we in the USA have not.

Aside from demands on local power grids formerly used to keep us human mutts alive, where is the waste heat going?

(cf. Asimov's The Gods Themselves)

If we are all going down together, then I'll say I have had many moments of enjoyment here (on Earth) that I couldn't have had anywhere else, even if some of those might have been better.

Perhaps you don't have the right Government governing the country?

Thank goodness Trump is term-limited and we (and the rest of the world) have only three more years (at most) of his admin to endure.

I'm sure the Trump admin will deal with that as well as they have done with hurricanes and floods.
You mean not do a hell of a lot?

His ICE agents killing innocent people, yea he has control alright. People voted for what they got and now they don't like it so much.

I am happy to be living in Canada and not have to deal with what my neighbors and relatives do.

You will not be alive to know that. The UK may be wishing for the rain the once had, but then I will not be alive for certain! I am sure you've heard of the climate warming and places getting weather they never saw before.

There are those who believe we are heading to another change in our climate, which very well could be what is going on. Quebec and Ontario and the Province out west are seeing weather like never known in our life time Temps of -50 and -55. If you threw water in the air it would come down as snow!! Cold enough for you? 😉

Indeed, but an Englishman needs an umbrella, and an umbrella needs rain.

The English have always been known to adjust to the climate.

Does everyone in England keep up with the tradition of the afternoon Tea?
