THE RESPONSE TIME SUCKS. ONE CAN PLAY 2 GAMES AT ONCE, WHICH IS GREAT...BUT AN OPPONENT HAS 3 DAYS TO MAKE A MOVE.

THIS SITE COULD BE MUCH BETTER.

BYE!! 😠 No one here will miss you. This is NOT live chess but more like correspondence chess. For people who want to actually THINK and LEARN. You need to do a lot of the second by the way, specially when it comes to manners!

This thread is funny to me because I used to play at gamecolony.com and I would like to express the opposite opinion and say that it isn't as good as RHP. Although comparing real time compared to correspondence chess is a bit like comparing apples to oranges I have one main reason for prefering RHP

IT IMPROVES YOUR GAME FAR MORE!!!

With real time chess you tend to think less about your moves due to the time control therefore games are often played along the same lines and victories half the time are caused be time running out. I've played games at game colony where my or the oppenents running king wins because of the time constraints, ITS JUST NOT CHESS!

I thought I'd help out a novice by informing him that writing in block letters is unbecoming and a pain in the ASCII.

Actually I'm glad that this was posted. I play so many games against people that are better than me, and I try to join in so many debates that I suspect are beyond me, that I could start to feel intelecually inferior.

And then, as if magic, someone turns up and reminds me that I'm not so thick after all. Not compared to some.

Why would anyone bother to respond to a post like the one Thenovice has started? It's a waste of time. It's obvious his only intent was to start a flame war, why gratify him by helping it grow? I continually hear people say that the best way to deal with someone like that is to ignore them. But invariably a dozen people will jump in and keep the thread going by offering their rebuttal to the original flame. Just ignore him.

Of course I realize that by posting this, I have also kept this thread going. I guess I'll just be quiet now.
