Not sure.
But Eastwood is by far the better actor.
(And that includes acting the part of a cowboy)

I first fell for Clint when I watched him in The Bridges of Maddison County with Meryl Streep. Never liked him as a cowboy. He was far too moody.

John Wayne couldn't act; he just played himself. His redeeming virtue, IMO, was that he played chess.

Coop was an actor who got his start during the age of silent movies; you could read his thoughts in his face.

I'm with Drew.

Clint, all the way.

Sure, he's moody, but at least he'll talk to you. John Wayne is more the "talk AT you" type.

Clint Eastwood was the better-looking one and possibly the better actor.

Clint (Robert Kincaid) was irresistable in that movie, and I wished that Meryl (Francesca Johnson) had eloped with him or at least, they would come to some sort of agreement to stay in touch and meet again.

Okay, I'm feeling seriously deprived now.

I never saw BoMC. I wonder if I can catch it on Netflix or something.

I'm sure you can, or read the book. Good acting in this movie though, especially Meryl Streep.

That was before she became "one of the most over-rated actresses in Hollywood"

You mean elite don't you ?

Clints movies were more interesting with more complex characters. Letters from Iwo Jima although not a western is a must see. Man reminds me of my old Nam days.
