why can't he just let the Russia slowly fall into anarchy like all decent high-profile russians do.
elect a nationalist kgb guy president, and that's what you get. it's almost like the 'good old' soviet times all over again.
I believe that he(Kasparov) is unequivicably correct. It is true about Putin. So the next time you decide to vote in a 'Clinton' think about what Bill did in Russia. (As a note, the Clinton administration put President Putin into power. Thus it stands to reason why some of the Russian Government Believe that we stand against Kasparov...)

Originally posted by Jusuhwith the death grip he has on russian media, I doubt he'd lose. but the can't run for president anymore as the constitution restricts the number of terms. still, I doubt he'll give the power away, it's not the 'kgb way' of doing things. he might change the constitution to allow him more terms as a president, or appoint himself as a prime minister and a puppet for a president. the number of terms for being prime minister is not restricted like pesidential terms.
yeah. The worst thing for us is if some lunatic military general seizes the power. After Putin loses in 2008, it might happen. With or without Putin.

He gets that anyway. He's already an international celebrity. Where's the motivation?
If it was me, I'd lose myself in good Russian vodka and hot young chess groupies.
