Children, when they are little they step on your toes, when they grow up they step on your heart.

Too much heartache and pain from my experience.

Ever wonder what your own parents' Pros and Cons were at the time? Mine were thankful for their parents and shared a desire to parlay the debt of gratitude by providing a home for children of their own; each of us have done the same.

I can't help feeling that if everyone for say, two decades, took a vow not to have children and stuck to it, our poisoned planet would have a chance to recover from what we've done to it. Life could be quite a bit different, many sci-fi stories have been written based on this concept.

If we had listened enough to our parents, maybe we wouldn't have any children, but we thought they were exaggerating.

They force us to grow up and they keep us alert and so do our grandchildren.

"We do not inherit the Earth from our Ancestors; we borrow it from our children."

That being said, Earth's future ecosystems will be fine no matter what, albeit in the long run, give or take a couple hundred million years.

Kids are what makes the world go 'round.

Actually, if not for you Trev33, we would all cease to exist.
