You know what that post really needs to totally put the cherry where it belongs? "M'lady."

I have a Kindle! It was a gift and it has the 3G which is super cool, though the browser is very slow so I now see why it's really just good for e-reading and not like the ipad (which is just a little computer and way cooler for everything). I love the Kindle, though, and have the calibre downloaded. I've chosen a few feeds but will experiment with others more later. I still have four "real" books I need to finish but have downloaded the "next" book after those.

Any recommendations for books are definately appreciated as I have more reading time these days. I'm reading two right now but love to have an ongoing list.

Thanks for all the advice - esp to Rags.

PS I LOVE the Kindle's illustrations that stay on-screen when the Kindle is turned off.

Now I need a good carrying case.

Just today, I saw the Kindle lighted leather carry case, and it was very nice...

It was light enough, ran off the Kindle power, and didn't have a very bad hotspot effect. Perfectly readable in the dark.

There are cheaper options out there, but I haven't seen them, IRL.

I couldn't recommend Shantaram highly enough, and found Room to be a very compelling read.

Right now I'm enjoying being puzzled by Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami (I think I got that right).

Just finished reading it myself... paper version...

Catcher in the Rye meets Freud face-on with a side of Baba Ram Dass 😛

Metaphorically, of course. 😉

Sweet!

Just bought my wife the 3G WiFi (she loves it) and this will help get her loaded up on some great options.

Who's got one, do you like it, got the wi-fi?

Reviews, please, I'm considering one. Do you miss real books? I just started keeping books again vs borrowing from the library.
I like it for reading not the internet though.
