You can remove things from the clan stash by paying a certain amount of clan karma.
It eventually works out you are paying around cost for the items you draw from the stash.

but a calader for 50,000 meat and you only get three extra adventures a day...its a bit of a waste!

By the calender. Those extra 3 adventures are handy, it's 3 adventures you're not eating food for.
