who in here flys kites? i'm at the beach and been flying my kite and looked some up online and found some really cool ones. so who flys kites in here and what kind do u have?
The best kite time I had was when I was much younger and some friends and I were flying a kite after a big storm on the bay. We fed it about 3 lines, but were afraid it would break. We got it back in and doubled up the line and tied it off to to a C-shaped set of legs from broken up lawn chairs.
We let the legs go and they plunked into the water, and the kite started to dive a bit and started to rise again. As it did this, the legs busted out of the water and shot up a good 4 or 6 feet.
Next the legs started to skip out on the water like a little boat hopping waves as it went out into the bay... we were pretty sure that somone in one of the boats would see this thing skipping out on the water and wonder what the heck it was.
