All the forums are sinking just like the clan system. If you take a small handful of posters out of each topic there is no one left, so it’s easy to see the why especially when the forums are advertised as a large part of the site. I’ve never seen the person you mention use foul language, funny you look over Sonhouse, king David, and Sue to mention a few who do it non stop. If this person was liberal he would be just fine in your eyes🙄.
I'm calling out microaggression here. It's just as intolerable as the more blatant name calling, foul language, and auto-mod-evasions everyone objects to.
A recent example of microaggression: one poster at Debates challenged me to provide evidence of Trump sending people to detention camps, and I linked to the Whitehouse.gov web site where Trump authorizes that people be sent to gitmo. Q.E.D. He who called me "Ree Tar Did" has been added to my DNR list. Such childish taunts should have been outgrown on the schoolyard playground.
You don't see me talking down to people in that tone. The most derogatory thing I said about anyone here was that he was "schismatic", and that was to make a point about British vs. No. American pronunciation.
I agree that both Clans and the Forums have gone downhill. The days when we had really intelligent and articulate posters, such as twhitehead and Paul Leggett, are gone.

Because people disagree doesn't actually mean they don't like each other, just a difference of opinion. Some keep it to themselves, others like myself do not.
