Whether or not going to the Victorian Equal Opportunity Commission or the Commonwealth equivalent (HREOC) would be useful might depend on that side of the story. It seems like everything has ...[text shortened]... l complaint in writing if you all want to know first up is whether they might be able to help.
I agree. I have a lot of experience working in the shop as an hourly and as a salary employee. See, nobody cares about undocumented opinions. Don't misunderstand me, I know from your story that he did something to make you angry, but he has something documented: You swore! Where is your documentation? What proof do you have that he's ever done anything wrong? If you just start rattling off things he's done in the past it has no value.

You need to DOCUMENT everything. A document should contain the date, time, and description of the event that took place, as well as the names of people present who can verify it.

This stuff is what women do in the states and then go to court and win a settlement worth millions of dollars for sexual harrassment.

Note in the original post that that is what I did do,though not at the start. I did not intent for it to get blown out of proportion.

I now have official ( as it gets.) permission to tell people that I am happy with the outcome of the investigation but not that I was vindicated. I do not understand the difference except in a pedantic way.

I agree with arrakis whole heartedly. Document it all, and make as much noise as necessary untill you are heard.

Sad to say, a workcover claim is probably going to worsen the tensions, because the employer will think it's about blaming them (even though it's NOT really about that, it's about your health and it doesn't really matter whose fault it is that you're not feeling well).

It sounds to me like some sort of mediation or conciliation is the way to go - that's jus ...[text shortened]... how it was handled, what needs to be done NOW to enable you to get back to work, etc etc.
I have allready made a claim. At first I thought you had this wrong but you are right. It is not about blaming them, I actually feel the bosses are decent people though mabey being naive, it is the not knowing that hurts.

I want to sit down and sort it all out, warts and all, in a safe enviroment.i.e one that no-one will be punished for what they say.(within reason.).
I thank you for your help,if you feel you can advise me more, ask any question you like in this forum and if I feel I cannot answer it here I will pm you a reply.
