I thought it had something 1930's Frankensteiny about it.

The thing I hated most is how he punked the jedi and let them die so easily. I think in a 2 1/2 hour movie we could have stood fifteen minutes to watch the jedi go down honorably.

Who knows I have a thing for the romantic tradgedy but I like a hero's death for my heros. It was disgraceful how they went down so easily.

The twilek jedi master, she was an empath for crying out loud, she did'nt even get her sabre drawn before she went down. What a travesty!!!!

I disagree.

The speed at which order 66 was executed was well portraid, I find.

My only grief with the film was that the Qui Gon Jin thing was so comprimised. I mean, that's the basis on which Kenobi can become stronger and help Luke in the later films.

I contest your disagreement. It was a paltry lame way to show them being killed. I think an empath should have "felt" something before she got shot. It happened way to fast and was an insult to the concept of what jedi are supposed to be.

Most of them did draw their sabers on time though. Didn't they?

And then got shot with no battle sequence or any semblance of a heroic death. This was pitiful, if even one of them had made a heroic stand I would have been slightly less dissappointed, but they all went down like punks.

The only reason obi wan survived is because they missed and he fell into some water.

The only one who actually killed any troopers seems to be yoda, and we knew he would'nt die.

One of the younglings did some damage.

Remeber the wise words out of episode I: "We can't fight a war for you."

Even Jedi's aren't all powerful (I'm rattling on like a true nerd here, by the way) and when 100 stormtroopers are shooting at you...

One of the younglings helped senator Organa escape yes. But all the Jedi masters went down easier then he did. Explain that nerd. huh? huh? It's not consistent....

The lad escaped whilst Anakin was mowing them down. He saw the stormtroopers and was prepared.

The others weren't prepared and you can't sense everything when you're in the middle of a battle.

pffffft

Anyone can tell you that!

would 'Julius Caesar' have been better if JC had taken Brutus or Cassius and a couple of centurions down with him, following an epic swordfight? i thought the destruction of the Jedis was a good portrayal of the effects of betrayal on those who have become too trusting, and made for a more effective story.
