i have to admit that going down so easily like that did kind of diminish the Jedi in my eyes - but that process was already well under way. I wasn't impressed by the way EMcG played Obiwan - he seemed too nice and not all that bright. And those council meetings - sheesh! Could they have held in a more mundane setting? And how come we never hear from the murdered Jedi again a la Obiwan?
The part I hated most, was when the four Jedi came to arrest Count Duku. Two got killed before the fight even started, and the next one a couple of seconds later. How did they get to be Jedi masters if they suck this bad?
Also, did anyone catch Kenobe's line before fighting Darth Vader? "Only Siths deal in absolutes." But that itself is an absolute, so he must be a Sith too.

yep, i caught that line too, it's contradicted throughout the rest of the films. if it were true, yoda should be saying "unlearn you might" to luke.
anyway, george lucas deals in absolutes. jar jar was absolute sh*te.
The only reason Kenobi says that is because anakin is sounding like Bush.
Jeez...wake up people!

Originally posted by NyxieI think it was just a matter of time in the film. There was not enough time to focus on the deaths of all the jedi. The quick deaths of the jedi was symbolic of the fact that most all the jedi were wiped out.
And then got shot with no battle sequence or any semblance of a heroic death. This was pitiful, if even one of them had made a heroic stand I would have been slightly less dissappointed, but they all went down like punks.
The only reason obi wan survived is because they missed and he fell into some water.
The only one who actually killed any troopers seems to be yoda, and we knew he would'nt die.
That way the film could concentrate on the main characters.

I think the jedi had become smug and complacent. Maybe that explains why they could chat with a sith lord every week and not know it. To sure of themselves as yoda put it.
What about obi wan and his line in ep 4 "In my experience there's no such thing as luck."
So he survived the clone trooper attack through great skill I guess.
Also this means jar jar has got to be about the greatest force user the galaxy has ever seen....
Originally posted by NyxieOh, yeah. Chancellor Palpatine. I can't seem to follow the story, but I love the movies anyway. 😛

from rolling stone ... I must say after seeing it I agree ...
Drink the Kool-Aid. Wear blinders. Cover your ears. Because that's the only way you can totally enjoy Revenge of the Sith -- the final and most futile attempt from skilled producer, clumsy director and tin-eared writer George Lucas to create a prequel trilogy to match the myth-making spirit of the original Star Wars saga he unleashed twenty-eight years ago. Fan boys, of course, have convinced themselves otherwise. So have several critics, if you go by early reviews.
Heralded for its savagery (my God, it's rated PG-13), the film follows Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen -- to merely call him wooden is an affront to puppets everywhere) as he loses his limbs and his conscience and takes on the evil mantle of Darth Vader. But thematic darkness is no excuse for dimness in all other departments, except the visual.
In this heretic's opinion, Sith is a stiff, brought down by that special knack Lucas has of turning flesh-and-blood actors into cardboard cutouts. To hear Anakin and his pregnant wife, Senator Padme (the vivacious Natalie Portman rendered vacant), discuss their marriage -- a secret that could get Anakin defrocked as a Jedi -- is to redefine stilted for a new millennium. The minute any character -- human or droid -- opens a mouth to speak, your eyes glaze over.
WONDERS
1.All the amazing mysterious creatures in Star Wars: A new Hope
2.Luc's Jedi training with Master Yoda (how could you forget that)
3.the pit fight (attack of the clones) where all the Jedi and droids fight.
4.
5.Chewie and his unforgettable "wookie cry"
BLUNDERS
1.Prod racing
2.anikin in episode I (his acting skills were terrible)
3.obi’s relationship with R2D2 in Star Wars a new hope (as if they never met before)
4.darth mauls death (should of been a more thrilling battle between him and obi)
5.the fact that episode I-3 had better space crafts and better equipment than 4-6,
I understand that they were made in totally different ages of computer graphics but I just think it doesn’t work so well, but who am I kidding I love the old star wars, but the ones are really cool but its weird to think that it was the ages before Luc and his gang . . . . . .no what I mean?
And personally I think Mr. Binx was quite humorous, they probably put him in to reach a younger target market . . ..
Star Wars, as a whole was a great Saga! Its very entertaining, I am excited to see the latest episode.
