cheesey "noooooooooo!" part from Vader?

Contains sound, may take a while. But good.
It was abominable in the film. I agree with Shavixmir: Frankenstein in black-and-
white movies. Shameful.
I agree with Shav about the Jedi, too. I thought the way in which they went down
was well executed (pun...). Nyxie may not recal that Kai-Adi-Mundi did detect
that he was being turned upon, drew his sabre and attempted to defend himself, but
was overwhelmed. And, of course, Yoda sensed it. The others were in the pique of
battle, a battle with many competing emotions. Jedi aren't omniscient.
Nemesio

One specific example I was using was the twilek jedi master. She was an empath, and she never got her sabre out. It just seemed to easy. I would have liked some better death scenes.

Plo Koons death was pretty cool (The Kel Dor jedi - in the dogfight, and gets shot down).

My bad, she is the empath. Apologies.

And she is the only Jedi to have their own fansite listed on the front page of Google.
I was just stating that I wanted better death scenes for the jedi myself. Sure some could be gunned quickly and we knew obi wan and yoda escape, but a couple more could have fought it out better.

Plo Koon had enough time to fly for a while, but still bit it. Windu went out OK, but the others he had with him (Quinlan Voss, and a few others whose names escape me at this crucial time) died like biatches.
Originally posted by NyxieIf i remember my schlock sci-fi terminology correctly, an 'empath' is one who can read (or even feel) the emotions of others to an exceptional degree. to foil this ability we can use just a little imagination and postulate that her killers either felt nothing about killing her or were able to shield their emotions somehow.
Julius ceasar was'nt an empath.
but the bigger issue is that the story required the Jedi to be defeated easily. they had been stabbed in the back, and we had to feel the horror of that. if they had been able to fight back effectively, the betrayal would have had less significance.
anyway, i was kinda glad to see them get it - they were way too smug and complacent. and episodes I-III kind of made them smaller - they seemed more powerful, mysterious and dignified in IV-VI.

Originally posted by Nyxiei have to admit that going down so easily like that did kind of diminish the Jedi in my eyes - but that process was already well under way. I wasn't impressed by the way EMcG played Obiwan - he seemed too nice and not all that bright. And those council meetings - sheesh! Could they have held in a more mundane setting? And how come we never hear from the murdered Jedi again a la Obiwan?
