Liverpool St and check out St. Paul's and walk across Tower Bridge? Are you sure you have your bearings straight? St. Paul's is just across Tate Modern.
Personally I'd suggest south from St Pauls and over Blackfriars bridge then down Southbank, past the Tate Modern to Borough Market for some lunch. Then following the river down, past HMS Belfast to Tower Bridge. Short stop at the Tower of London and then a pig roast at Bodeans before ambling home.

Bodeans is awesome if you like meat. I always feel like Obelisk at the village feast when I go there.
