"Lonely" is a negative attitude towards a situation.
The situation is that you are not interacting with others.
You can feel lonely about this.
But you could also be invigorated by having time for yourself and being able to do what you please.
Feeling lonely undermines your creativity. It's like a form of depression. It's not that you don't have anything to do, it's just that you don't feel like doing it.
What's important is that you actually start doing something.
Go cycling. Go driving. Go sporting. Go to the library. Activate yourself!
Activation leads to new insights.
If activation doesn't work or you really can't force yourself to be active, go to your doctor. He'll probably be able to help.

Well I would be out and enjoying life and the company of friends but I have three kids, one of which is a baby. So I'm home alone every night being a mom, which equates to having no life when you're doing it all on your own.
Cant be all that bad, cant you get a babysitter (parents) and go out with your old pals or friends from a place of work (might not be in work I understand with baby, but an old place of work)
I think it would be better looking at a more adult orientated site (adult dating) for this sort of thing as I think there are quite a few "younger ones" to say the least, who play and post on this site. Im sure you would fit in well on a site like that (not sure of any!!) as you wont be the only one stuck in a house with kids.

Like the ice cream and wine idea though. 😉 Happiness comes from within ones self not through someone else.
Not saying a dinner and a dance wouldn't be nice once in awhile. A little attention never killed anyone.
