Great to know I'm not a cheat.

Do you agree with Matsunaga's proclamation?
I have no idea what he's talking about with respect to the "bandit force on his border".

I don't know what Matsunaga's problem is. Ito called you out for betraying Shimazu by sending Ito his messages which honor dictates should have been confidential, if I understand what's going on (of course I have no inside information).

So Matsunaga (cadwah) has a problem with this...I guess he wants to be able to betray those who communicate with him without being himself betrayed? I don't understand.

I think it's more likely just the RHP circle jerk factor kicking in.

EDIT - Good thing I haven't been communicating with you as much as you'd like, as apparently you (and Matsunaga) can't be trusted to keep such communications confidential.

Lucky you. My two neighbours took advantage of a little border-squabble I had with a third party and under the pretext of allied cooperation invaded us both -- quite successfully too. A well executed move -- kudos to Shimazu and Mori. The last of my Ryuzoji warriors have taken to the hills for a final and hopefully spectacular stand in some Buddha-forsaken ravine. Hara-kiri anyone?
There's some drama going on with me now, though no open warfare yet.

Never mind, stick to moving the figures around on the game board.

Only if you promise never to treat this as a game but as the work of fine performance art and profound roleplaying that it is!

I think I was drunk when I wrote that... No change there then.

Takeda and Uesugi are conducting their relationship along very historical lines, I see.
Quickly, tell me who wins.

I've lost my capital again - an unsavoury habit - but Takeda's frontal assault on my border earthworks went terribly wrong (as I just watched Gettysburg, Pickett's Charge springs to mind).

Two big armies on the Takeda/Uesugi border, and then there was one. The Takeda people need not flee; I will treat them kindly.

Their wars dragged out inconclusively until Uesugi died, probably of alcoholism.

Oh, the vagaries of diplomacy! 🙂

Knowing your messages have been passed on does add an interesting twist to things! 😉

Being a cross-dresser, it's impossible for Hosokawa Masamoto to be caught with his pants down.

Wha...? I haven't taken part in anything like this! All that I think is that if Ito wanted to let Shimazu know that Hosokawa was(allegedly) forwarding on his communications it could have been done in a (slightly!!!) more discreet, diplomatic way than in a proclomation. Don't forget that the interesting aspect of this game is the diplomacy, if it was an out and out war game we wouldn't have each others email addresses. By broadcasting the news in his proclamation he has swayed every clan leader one way or the other in their views of Hosokawa, when in fact sharing information and using information to assist allies or potential allies is an integral part of the game.

I'm sure Mrs Tokugawa is ok and in good health, the smell of rot easily reaches my capital when this isn't the case.
