Well in that case you should quote correctly or go and jump in a canal.

Starrman is an Arab and a Spaniard? So much for your stunning diplomatic prowess? 😕
I presume he's referring to the genetic mixing which occured in Spain due to the Moorish presence there for a large period of time. Andalucia is still very Arabic based in tradition and culture. Such great buildings as the Al Hambra, the Mosque at Cordoba etc. still stand as testament to the influence the Arabs had there. The first standard surgical tools were made in Cordoba by an Arab. It's a wonderful place. This is also why Spaniards are generally dark haired and brown eyed.

EDIT: Apparently not...

Actually, I was just too lazy to make two posts and combined my answer to NicolaiS with my "quote and reply" to yours. Do you intend to use your dreaded "Bore-o-tron" on your unfortunate enemies?

Do you think it might work?

It might be more effective than the Siege machines in taking fortifications; just start spouting obscure pieces of meaningless trivia to the trapped defenders and I'm sure they'll capitulate in no time if they are assured a quick, non-boring death.

I'll remember that when I come to squashing Venice. I wonder if Phlab will employ his retardo powers.

Has anyone else NOT received confirmation of the turnfile you sent in?

Yesterday I sent mine in by way of the weblink. This morning I received an email from the GM saying my orders hadn't arrived and that I should attach them to an email and send them. I've done so twice today yet still haven't received an affirmative reply.

Anyone else waiting on a reply?
I've had an identical experience.

Re: BuffaloBill's website, I don't know what the password or nation number are.

EDIT - You think you've got it bad, Venetian? I called my friend who has a Master's in cultural antropology and has been into medeival recreation gaming for a long time to ask advice. When I told him I had Hungary he said

"Wow, you really drew the short straw, didn't you?"

That was sent in the first e-mail from the GM. It's the same as what you've been using to get into the game.

Should something have happened by now? How long to we have to wait to be able to download the next turn?

It strikes me that we wait at the GM's pleasure... Look how long it took them to roll the first turn...

I can't remember if new turns are typically available on Wednesdays or on Thursdays. It may be later on today, but I can't guarantee it. Also, this being our first turn, with most people new to the game, they may wait a little longer to make sure everything is in order before proceeding.

I saw a message on the forum that processing will only take place after 21:00 GMT tonight. But, it's frustrating. A good reason not to talk about your plans until after the move has taken place.

Well, it would serve you right if your moves didn't work; what a deal ya got with Norway! Plenty of room to expand and nobody to bother you; Denmark still doesn't have a player, does it? Me, I got a bunch of scheming psychos all around me.
I must say - Your diplomatic skills are pique! I am surprised that you have not had every nation rush to ally with such a magnanamous ruler like yourself. I am almost in awed silence at your masterful social graces. You are truly a wonder to behold no1. Truly a wonder.

A pissant like you apparently doesn't know what a joke is. I'd say someone who publishes people's e-mail addresses in a public forum without their permission isn't someone I'd want to share secret planning with, but hey whatever people wanna do. Maybe you could list the home addresses and social security numbers of your "allies" here, too.

He of the penial head,

Are you aware that I did apologize for it?

Are you aware that I had the admin remove them since you pissed about it before?

Are you aware that email addresses can be found as public knowledge?

You will be a crushed little worm soon no1. Count on that.
