Yeah, I notice that 2 realms have 5 provinces instead of the normal 4, and some cities are worth way more than others...

also, what's up with all the ships I see, most of them far, far from home? I wonder if it's because most of them seem to be from landlocked realms? hmmmm...

In that case tell me, I take my chances.

Everyone has some ships. If you're a landlocked realm then your ships will be further away.

Not all realms are quite equal in the gold value of their provinces. They are pretty close, though. It may be calibrated to affect play balance, or something, but I'm not sure.

OK, 100 but I'm too stingy to buy anything so we'll have more next turn and the turn after that.

Gold's value decreases at 7% per turn so it's best to spend most of it each turn.

I understand that you lose 7% of whatever you don't spend per turn, but you have to also balance that against building too many troops and choking on the upkeep 😛

Question: how do you set your boats up, I have some but they are not actually in the sea 😕

There's always the "Zap Brannigan" solution.

Same as an army. Form a new unit i.e. fleet and put your ships in 'em. If you don't know how to handle them, sail them down to Venice and I'll tell what to do with them.

EDIT: And you don't call warships "boats", landlubber.

I'm sorry, I assumed you were the dimwit for not spending your money, then I realised you were a lawyer and it all made sense.

You have to give the order to your ships to load armies, and you have to have the armies in the province the ships are harbored at. I think loading ships is done before movement (I could be wrong here), so I think you could sail them out to sea the same turn. You just give them a sail order just like you give the armies marching orders.

Edit: AND what No1 said about making Fleets 🙂

That's right except your ships don't have to be in the harbor to load armies; they can load armies from any province bordering a sea they are located in.

I noticed that too. I have a few ships and I am landlocked. Go figure...

EDIT - NM. All people get ships eh? Cool.

Unlimited stacking rules. Crank out as many troops as you can. Eventually the upkeep will consume your entire budget if you don't expand enough.
As a non-subscriber you are limited to 200 troops maximum. I'm not sure about per province but I don't think that will be an issue.
