Well I see you edited your post. Now it's a lot clearer.

With regards to that... why care?

I did it once, many many years ago. I got a kick out of hearing guys whine about how they just CAN'T lose to a girl. I also gained a new appreciation for the hell women go through when harassed by idiotic men.

Some of the player's names have me wondering..perhaps all the real female members will stand up and be counted ? Should there be a separate list?

Must admit I don't think I've recently encountered anyone who was actively pretending to be something other than themselves. There were a few back in the day, though.

I think that anyone who tries to pull off the act of pretending to be of the opposite sex is sort of like doing (sorry for the grammar) a sort of Turing test.

Some people have had to pull off the act of being oppositely gendered (physically or psychologically) as a life or death matter.

But I just saw The Imitation Game so I am influenced by that. It distorted the facts a bit, but was good in its essentials, anyway.

Does anyone here think they could pull off the act of being taken to be of the opposite sex, other than via the distance allowed by the RHP forum limitations?

Hi Marjorie! Didn't see you at netball practice on Monday: we need you back in the GA position.

I think the subject of online identity and it's relative behaviour patterns is one of the most interesting internet related topics at the macro level. Here in our RHP microcosm it is still interesting and sometimes highly amusing, albeit somewhat trivial in contrast to the everyday. But getting contrast to the everyday is the main reason I come here.
