It's not a big deal to me or you, but you can bet it's a big deal to his endorsement sponsors.

His endorsement sponsors should care more for the survival of their products and unemployment rather than his pot use.

Seeing as his pot use would be considered detrimental to their product sales by his sponsors, then that's exactly what they're worrying about.

I'm willing to wager that the makers of Wheaties don't really care what sort of ban he got from the US.

Edit: It's not a total loss for Phelps. High Times magazine will probably hand him a deal. ๐Ÿ™‚

Sorry if I was ambiguous. I meant that the makers of Wheaties would care about Phelps toking up regardless of any ban the US sport federation put on him. Poor wording on my part.

I think it is good to see a well respected athelete endorcing drugs - we always hear such a negative press regarding them and it is almost like people are considered to be villains and criminals just for having any views other then hatred for drugs.

I hear that Phelps, with his enormous lung capacity, can bong an entire Blunt with one inhale and hold it for 5 minutes without his head exploding. Indeed, this is how he trains for his meets and it should not be allowed. He never shares.

GRANNY.
