If you see they are moving, but dont move in your game, time em out.

I don't like timing players out who are on vacation. Why have the sign if it is open to such abuse? Do I have to check each players move history to check if they are fudging?

Sure, but why just restrict the use of the sign? Checking the last moved of each player seems a round about way to do it
If you want to put more controls in it becomes like big brother and we will have to apply to Russ for time of.
Use yr noddle! If they are moveing, time em out. If they aint then they probably are on holiday and give em the benifit of the doubt.

Usually reading the vacation message clears up the problem. I often put up my flag when I'm visiting my parents saying that I'll try to move but I don't have the same access to a computer so it won't be as much as usual. Most people would try and move if they could, if only because they are not guaranteed that they won't be timed out regardless of the flag.

My method is better and puts the onus on people to be more responsible about their time management.
It would also be less work for Russ to implement.
