Inflation rusty... what was $15 8 years ago and what is it now? A dollar off for every year you've subscribed, ok but almost 3 times less than what new subscribers are paying is taking it a bit far imo.
I can see why they would want to give those who were loyal to them and stuck with them from the early days a break in their subscriptions.
If you hadn't left and come back.....
The consensus among those with subscriptions seems to be that $40 per year is trivial. Based on this observation I say the price can reasonably be increased to $150 per year.
All in favor say "aye".
AYE
All opposed say "no".
*crickets*
Motion passed.
Next order of business: a lower-tier $15 per annum subscription plan for those who are content to play at most only 20 games per year, don't give a damn about tournaments, clubs, clan rallies, or stars, but wouldn't mind a forum avatar...

I'm clearly wasting my time on this, it's seemingly not going to change and no ones mind is going to be changed in the process.

Doubtless the Masters of RHP have thought of all sorts of different plans. I do think a two-tiered annual plan would work, and make the Masters richer. One plan for "super users" who often play over ten games simultaneously and engage in tournaments, and another plan for "casual users" who only care to play a couple dozen games a year and don't care for tournaments.
It is kind of bizarre, though, that even idle musings about such plans would be cause for a hail storm of personal attacks perpetrated by some of the regular denizens in these parts. What are they so insecure about?

No.
The consensus is that if $5 per month is managable, then $40 per year is (do your basic maths) even more so.
