Perceived unsportsmanship.
Would you consider a 1200 rater who plays against a 2300 rater for 30 moves to be unsportsmanlike because the game was really over at move 15?
At worst it could be annoying to opponent but tough titty, life goes on.

so i'm playing in a tournament and just need one point from my final game to progress to the final two, i'm already assured a place in the next round but if i lose my game there will be at least 3 maybe 4 depending on the result of another game... tbh i'd say there will be 4 in the final group if i lose.
now, in my game it's not looking good... i may draw ...[text shortened]... nd end up getting the win through timeout and advancing to a mano y mano dual for the title?

so the general consensus is to wait the full 7 days before making each move in the hope that he gets attacked by a swarm of killer bees or runs into to an angry penguin with a machete and is unable to move for a while resulting in a timeout win for me?

You remind me of the evil players who let their lost games time out. π
