Illuminati, Bilderberg Skull and Bones et al. are all tools of the Greater powers of the World. They will achieve their goals regardless of whom is elected to office. The political arm is simply a front of puppets to appease the masses and distract the public. It makes us feel like we are in control and we have the power. It is all illusion, and the Powers are already running the show. They have been doing so for countless centuries.

The name says it all. It says "We are the illuminated ones, but you not so much. The world needs us to control and direct humanity (this means you) because we are smarter and wiser, so get used to it."
They could just as easily say "We are ego driven control freaks", because as far as I'm concerned that's all it really means.
