who are the three people who have most influenced the world and why?
maybe the three inventions that most influenced the world
just having an interesting diversion
:?
General Lafayette: His assistance (and France's, through him) in the colonial war for independence had a huge impact on the world, both as a model for the possibility of removing the yoke of whatever it was we were feeling yoked by, but the impacts (positive and negative) that Canada and the United States have had on the world since then.
Alfred Nobel: both through his own discoveries and inventions (most notably dynamite), but his lasting legacy of the prize that bears his name as well. It isn't often that the world stops to honor people for doing something genuinely good.
(edit: apologies for only posting men.)
