Crash. The movie was horrible, no matter what critics say.

I personally don't believe in what critics say. I pretty much have my own standards about things. Like if a story had a bad plot but can pull off a significant other elements well, it can still be a decent movie. But the problem comes when too many of these elements, including story, characters, settings and so forth, are badly messed up. Anyways, here are movies that I disliked or outright hated:

- From Death to Smoochie = I heard a lot o people saying this was good; but in all honesty, it was horrible.

- The Weatherman = Nicolas Cage is a great actor and he was in this film, but I hated his character. He was just annoyingly emo and shallow. I was really expecting his character to progess and become less emo and shallow but the movie just went in the opposite direction. I don't even know why I sat and watched this one all the way to the end, but I wish I hadn't.

- Snakes on a Plane = Okay. Maybe it's a tad unfair to call on this one yet, but from what I've read and seen so far, it's horrible! This is one of those movies (Unless they make it a thriller-comedy unlike what the trailer shows) that I'll probably skip out on.

- Maximum Overdrive = There's a reason why Stephen King shouldn't do movies and this is one of them. It was a go-nowhere nonsensical plot that didn't make any sense from any standpoint. It was supposed to be some sorta horror/thriller film, but it turned out to be so bad, it was actually kinda funny. Fortunately, I just rented this one from the library and not from Blockbuster where I would have to put out some money for it.

- Harry Potter = Maybe because I'm a CG nerd here, but I never quite liked the HP films. They always kinda fell short in the graphics department. The graphics could have been much more polished and look a little more realistic, but they didn't seem to take the time with them. It feels like that they were in a rush to turn out a movie so they can turn out a little extra profit. If you're going to translate a book to the big screen, at least do it right!

- Lost In Translation = While culturally, it was okay; the plot was long and boring. Art and plot have to work hand in hand and not just be strong in the art department but weak on the storytelling. I feel that they could have condensed the story a little more and still be able to go with the art and culture thing.

- Say Anything = This was just boring. Enough said.

- Dead Or Alive = The Movie = Just like Snake on a Plane, this one was based on reading and trailer watching and from what I can say, it's just another form of Charlie's Angels except it started out as a video game. It's just one of those video game gone big screen that went wrong. Pong: The Movie would have made a much better translation! Yeah! fear the asweomness that is Pong! 😀 XD

- Charlie's Angels = The animation was poor, the plot was poor, the characters were poor. Why is it that when they do those female spy trios (Or duos or whatevers), they usually seem to screw it up badly in some way, shape or form?

- House of Flying Daggers = It started off well and I will say, this wasn't a horrible or bad movie, but it still left much to be desired at the end of the movie.

So that pretty much concludes my list of what I think don't make great movies. But hey, this is just my list and you may not agree with it! Disagreements are welcome! Although, flaming me for it will just result in me turning you in to a big black crater and me being amused by that big black crater that was you a few seconds ago. 😉
