luzhin defence was good. searching for bobby fischer was ok also, worth to look for. game over, that kasparov vs. IBM documentary, was an interesting psychological portrait of a middle-aged man.
none of the films about chess address primarily chess of course. that would be incredibly boring. nevertheless many people expect that, and get disappointed when it doesn't happen. nerds.

You think that is the name of the movie I'm talking about? I tried searching for it but didn't find any movie by that name. Found one called 'The Luzhin Defence' but that doesn't mention prison.
Thrown into prison, starts playing chess against himself in his thoughts, gets shizophrenic, comes out and plays chess like god. Tourny against a grandmaster and starts multiple games in his mind.
