But...if he was sitting in the fence between cool and uncool...and that isn't cool...

Does it mean he fell off the fence?

bittorrent* to download torrents - best for albums and movies.

Once you have downloaded bittorrent* you can simply use google to search for specific music.

[eg "torrents Kings of Leon" in the search box gives me 174,000 results.]

*or utorrent, BitL ...[text shortened]... re. It's the crap you download that MAY have. You just need to take precautions. No problemo.
What's the deal with FLAC files? I did a little research and it says they won't work with itunes.

I don't use itunes myself so I'm not too sure about that.

You could convert them to .wav files with MacFLAC if you are using a Mac.

I use flac files in Windows XP but I may have done some tinkering first.

If you're downloading songs you can usually check first which format they are in to save you the trouble though.

Are you saying you haven't one single music file on your computer?

If so I would suggest you put some of your own CDs on your computer first. 😕

I have a rapidshare account and I browse blogspots. I use Orbit to download. 3 or 4 GB a day, that's 6 films or 25 albums or whatver. Series 6 of The Sopranos took a couple of days. Is that different from BitTorrents?

The difference is the price.

Torrents are completely free whereas Rapidshare users can only download a certain amount of Megabytes per hour unless they pay.
