Mic Christopher (RIP) - Heyday

The Pogues - Dirty aul Town

Republic of Loose - You Know

(Seen these guys live a few times, and they rock. The lead singer is a head case, he normally abuses you into having a great time. Dropping the mic is fairly typical of one of their gigs)

Christy Moore - Ride On

My father's favourite

Damien Dempsey

Mundy

Snow Patrol

Bell X1

The Devlins

The Frames

Paddy Casey

Messiah J

And that's skipping the obvious ones, like Damien Rice and U2.

Who's from your area?

Two examples of Nottingham's finest:

I think they've split up now, but I'm one of the 'fortunate' ones who had the 'pleasure' of seeing them live.

New up and comers include Duel, The Research, The Lodger, Attic Project:

And why the unhappy face about Goth, cat? The Phono was the only place to be in Leeds on a Saturday afternoon!

P.S. Did you know that Marc Almond used to work as the Cloakroom attendant at The Warehouse?

I can't see the MySpace vids. 🙁

I didn't realise that so much good music came from Leeds. That whole area, Leeds, Manchester and Liverpool is great for music.
