What music do you guys like.. I been playing too much chess and not making no music.. untill this year I was heavyly into electronic music.. minimal techno, house, dnb, hardcore, ambient etc.. i still love ambient .. but at christmas I got a guitar..(fender fat strat) red one 😀 I always rejected guitar music.. i got myself some metal albums and love it now .. one of best ways to learn an instrument is to listen to music with that instrument .. Im going to record some stuff tomorrow.. I dunno what I will make will be some kind of elctronic stuff as I can play my keyboard/synths better than guitar.. but anyways.. I like metal now very much.. i've not listen to any electronic stuff for about a month just these bands..
Green Day..
Metallica..
Radiohead...
Slipknot..
Belphegor..
A Perfect Circle..
Apocalyptica..
Megadeth..
mudvayne..
System of a Down..
dont like them in that order I love them all.. can anyone recommend me some more good metal bands "must have bands"
should I get some ozzy stuff ..
I like the really heavy stuff where they scream down the mic RAHHHHHHHHHHHHH... and heavy guitar rhythms topped of with nice leads..
will post a link to my new creation tomorrowz 😉 if I get something done..

Radiohead, Tori Amos, Leonard Cohen, Nirvana, Led Zep, Blur, Rory Gallagher, Hendrix, Damien Rice, Postal Service, The Streets, Frank Zappa, Portishead, Reel Big Fish, Nitin Sawney, Bjork and I'm just getting into The Smiths
Other genres include:
Opera: Bizet's Pearlfisher's a fav
Classical: love Varese, Stravinski, Mozart and Tchaikovsky
Jazz: John Coltrane, Miles Davis, John Maclaughlin
Flamenco: Paco de Lucia
Reggae/Ska: Marley, Lee Scratch Perry, Specials
Techno: Jeff Mills
Drum n Bass: LTJ Bukem
Soul: Al Green, Marvin Gaye
Things I don't like:
Nu Metal or fretw@nking showgore stuff, anything from Slipknot to Limp Bizkit (this is not rock, it's pop with distorted guitars), RnB, Garage, Ragga, Bling-Rap, Soft rock (eg: Bon Jovi), Fake-punk (eg: Linkin Park), and anything of which the primary concern is money, image, or getting seen in magazines.

MEDIC! We got a man down!
I play guitar as well, but recently got a nylon strung spanish. Opened up a lot of different styles for me so I have made a transition from punk, like Dead Kennedys, Nomeansno, Alice Donut, DOA etc to Tarrega, Albeniz, Barrios, de Falla, and more classically oriented composers especially Bach who sounds really good on the old guitar.... ahem but obviously not when I play it.
