My hometown always has the parade the Saturday before the 17th. It's by far the biggest party day in Albany; New Year's Eve is for rookies and losers.

They find out who'll they play in about 2 hours. Th ...[text shortened]... nference, I'm guessing a 13 or 14 seed and a longshot chance against a 4 or 3 seed. Go Danes!
Congrats. 🙂 I'm still waiting for Rutgers (my AM) to get their act together.

Yeah I'm pumped, my alma mater is going for the third year in a row (the 3 years after I graduate lol). Univeristy of Northern Iowa!! This year we may even be as high as a 12 seed.

Go Cats!
Ahh, that WOULD've been my alma mater...but the one year I spent there (the year they opened the UNIdome) was spent on the Hill instead of classes. Couldn't tell you the names of any of my teachers, but I do clearly remember standing on a table in Tony's yelling *Where am I?*

Bleh, I can't stand Tony's. My roommate used to work in their kitchen and that pizza is nasty stuff. Then again, if all you want are cheap drinks and a place to meet smashed 18 year old girls...

Well, UAlbany as a 16th seed put up a great fight before losing to #1 seed Connecticut. The final was 72-59 which makes it sound like a bit of a rout, but actually UAlbany led by 12 with 11:30 left in the game and it looked like the biggest upset in NCAA tournament history might be in the making. The Great Danes were outrebounding the mighty Huskies and had commited only 5 turnovers to UConn's 14. But cream eventually rises to the top and UConn's more physically talented and tournament tested veterans took over down the stretch.

Still a big kudos to the boys from UAlbany for getting to their first March Madness and putting up a terrific effort against one of the best teams in the country.

they sure gave U Conn a run for their money tonight. I was cheering for them in the upset, but not to worry, they'll be back. They can all hold their heads high, after that performance, I think their on the radar. Have a good one, and go ZAGS.

Zags won't do anything this year..reason? Adam Morrison. Yes, he's the best player in the nation, but he has no back up. That team's bench is paper thin. Them and George Washington both..

It is like I told my dad. Congratulations to the number 16 seed team. That is the good news. The bad news? You get to play Duke.
