I have no idea how it happened but the backlighting on my laptop died yesterday. It worked fine in the morning while I was having my fresh organic coffee then I went out for the day to drink and get super high and by the time I got home it just didn't work anymore. My girlfriend hadn't used it all day so it couldn't have been something she did. I'm confused. Has this ever happened to anyone before? I just bought the thing in June.

My brain is in perfect order. I'm off the brain-melting drugs. I only use the brain-enhancing drugs.

My theory is that your girlfriend found out your bit on the side and urinated on your laptop in revenge. Slap that bitch.

She would never do that to me. She loves me. And I love her.

Awww that's sweet. Looks like you're going to have to take her down to the Geek Squad and have them check her oil. The computer's that is not your girlfriend's.

I plan on doing that. I paid a few Bordens for the service plan so I'm gonna put it to good use. I'm just wondering if anyone knows what could trigger it so I can prevent it from happening again.

Laptop screens going is quite common. It will be covered by your warranty, and as far as I know, there's not a lot you can do to prevent it from happening, except be lucky.

You should also avoid spooging on the screen whenever possible.
