Maybe you could make a website for her and copy one of those ebooks onto it(a detective one of course.) Here's the kicker.....

Code the page so that it plays ELO and decorate the site with pictures of obviously christian children!! 😀

What do obviously Christian children look like? And what's ELO, besides being a rating system?

I assumed he meant Electric Light Orchestra.

Obviously obviously christian children are holding bibles and wearing crosses! 😀

Thanks. I hadn't heard about that orchestra.

What about giving her a voucher for something like a spring-clean or some other unpleasant house-work? Or a voucher for concert tickets of her choice?

The flower web sites like ftd.com and 1-800-flowers have nifty gift baskets! BTW, I just finished reading 32 Third Graders and a Class Bunny by Phillip Done -- if she's ever taught in elementary school she'll love it!

Gift certificate to a spa so she can get a facial, manicure or a massage. Gift certificate to a restaurant. Tickets to an event like a play.

she does special needs. currently she does learning difficulties and blind teaching, although she's a teacher of the deaf at heart. you reckon it'd apply?

gift vouchers are a no-no. they're just kinda impresonal...

Is there any chance she'd like a machete?

ELO is Electric Light Orchestra. But they are not an orchestra. They are (were) just a band, popular for a few years (maybe early 80's). What was unique about them, in the pop band biz, was their use of violins.
