In other words, your star is shining less brightly. 😉

25,000 moves, it makes you stop and think.

i must say i'm enjoying my chess more and more at the moment.
i've just finished the endgame classes in chessmaster academy - just fascinating.
nordlys you recommended the academy in general but haven't done the endgame part as i recall -- may i counter-recommend it?

It's probably due to a vitamin deficiency.

I noticed people had different color stars earlier as well.

There is yellow, orange, red, and spinning red.

I wonder what they mean? I couldn't find anything about their meanings here. I couldn't make a correlation to the members rating.

More likely due to a liver dysfunction from sitting to close to the monitor and straining over chess moves 🙂

It has to do with the number of moves. Look it up in the Help section.

In a another 25k moves you'll be ready for a mid-chess crisis 😛. Can't wait for mine! I don't know whether I'll turn to alcohol, drugs, sleep, depression, or maybe even all of those!

What will come after the dark red rotating one? I think there should be a new star after 200.000 moves!

i saw an early prototype of a blurry star which was really cool.
i can't remember who mocked it up... was it cheshire cat, perhaps?

when i get to my mid-chess crisis i'm going to start doing reckless sacrifices in all my games, and getting my queen out too early.

I still haven't done the entire endgame part (haven't done any chess studies lately 🙁 ), but I know it's good because I have done parts of it. It helped me win my first endgame with different-coloured bishops, even though I was a pawn down when we went into the endgame (of course that wouldn't have worked if my opponent hadn't messed it up).
