I have many interesting conversations with people in my daily life.
I cannot honestly think of one infamous person I would want to sit down with for a face-to-face.
Infamous to me doesn't equal a superior being. I know many very intelligent and creative people, all of whom I'd rather spend my time with, over a stranger to me.
I'm just not a "star-struck" kind of person. Notoriety isn't all that impressive to me.
Big deal.
If you know many "very intelligent and creative people", great. So do I. But if you restrict your world to them, it's a small world indeed.

Strangelove stated no interest in meeting anyone, outside of forums.
I stated, "I'm with you there." Meaning, yes I'd have an interest in meeting people, but noone in particular with a "famous" name.
Let's get back to it. My original response to you was asking how you know that Strangelove isn't antisocial, but rather placing himself above the population. That makes no sense. Antisocial people aren't necessarily conceited, or lofty.
You came through in your post as ridiculing him for not having an interest in meeting famous people.

LET ME ASK YOU IF YOU THINK THE SYSTEMS IN THE WORLD ARE RIGHT? NO, THEY ARE NOT AS WE ALLLLLLLLLL KNOW, YET WHENEVER SOMEONE HAS SOMETHING GOOD TO OFFER YOU PEOPLE ...[text shortened]... HEM BUT FOOLISH PEOPLE LIKE YOURSELF WHOSE HATRED ROBS THESE GOOD THINGS THAT WRONG PEOPLE DO.

As for Dr. Jekill and Mr Hyde I just claimed I didn't think he was anti-social and that he was trying to show superiority to those wretched star-struck people. I think he interpreted the thread as you did and decided to show superior.
Why else post in a thread that didn't interest him if not to show contempt for those that did?

My my.

Why state it then?
If anything, his post, along with mine, pointed out a flaw of sorts. Being antisocial is in no way having a feeling of superiority, or greater-than-thou attitude.
Your responses, however, seem to always include some biting little comment.
Why do you care if someone responds stating they'd care to meet noone with a "known name".
Why don't you respond to 789, whose posts seem to have nothing to do with anything.
I think you were somehow offended, wrongly.
Relax yourself.

Which is it?
PS: Why should I be offended? It's you that's playing the offended virgin by saying I'm being unfair. Besides, I'm hard to offend, if I seem caustic it's just my normal forum-self.

Second, I didn't say anything about the thread not interesting me - just that I was not interested in meeting so called celebrities. If you think that is showing contempt or superiority, you are wrong.
I have no problem with people wishing to meet the people they say, and likewise I think most have no problem with my choice.
