If they landed on various parts of the moon, as they claim, how come the backgrounds during each moon landing show exactly the same mountain range in the background?
The videos with the same mountain are from the same landing. The one that a few people and a stupid fox special claim were a day and many kilometers apart were actually taken 3 minutes apart and were the same mountain.
Originally posted by shavixmirEasy one to explain. The mountain ranges were a great distance away hence parallax would not be obviously apparent. The moon, having no atmosphere, would show the mountains as very clear so does not appear as far.

Where are the stars?
The moon's surface is actually quite reflective. The exposure times required so that objects on the lunar surface are not over exposed would not be enough for star light to appear on photographic film. If you photograph things at night even on Earth with a lot of ambient light around you, you would not see stars in the photograph.
Why does the flag wave around when there is no wind in space ?
When one of the Apollo astronauts were putting the flag into the surface, he was twisting the flag into the ground. Without an atmosphere, there would not be any air to dampen the sinusoidal movements of the flag (it was attached to a rod at the top to cause it to stretch out), this gave the effect of "waving".
Explain the different shadows from different angles .
The lunar surface wasn't flat.
How come we have not been back there ,with todays superior technology?
The technology developed at the time was dedicated to the lunar missions. You do not need fancy graphical user interfaces to achieve this. Reasons for not returning have been mainly political.

Just a few questions to think about.
I guess the stars are not there, because the pictures are taken in daylight. The bright sun would make the astronauts put rather heavy duty filters on the cameras, thereby filtering out the rather dim light from the stars. Besides, you don't see many stars in broad daylight here on Earth either.
There is no air in space to stop the flag from waving around. So I guess the only means to make it stop waving, would be the gravity of the Moon. With that gravity being only a fraction of the gravity that we have here on Earth, the flag would wave around for what seems like forever, due to the movement which occured when the astronauts planted it there.
The Earth is a major source of light on the moon, as well as the sun. So I suppose it's only natural with two shadows?
I suppose we don't go back because we don't have a reason to do so right now?

It is fiction (a novel). But plain of conspiracy theories elaborated on solid historical bases.
This man (Eco) is, simply put. a genious.

IMHO. this book ("Foucault's Pendulum" ) regarding conspiraciy theories, is a "must read".
This link takes you to, INHO, a somewhat poor resume of this book.

Even if the lunar surface was not flat it does not explain the different shadows picked up in the cameras ,there should only be one light source (the Sun) and this would only give one reflection.
Originally posted by boarmanYou must have taken photographs of the direct night sky with a longer exposure time than normal. If you take a photograph of a bright object on the surface, star light is very unlikely to appear in the picture. Also have to take into account what KurtHoegh said. The moon shots were taken in a lunar day, so the sun would have illuminated the surface very brightly.

The same with regard to mention of the stars. You would have the bright sun in the sky, a bright Earth, bright lunar surface and the astronauts' eyes would have adjusted to take this into account. They would not have been able to see the stars all that clearly.
As for shadows, it is best explained here:

Would advise to read all of www.clavius.org, as it debunks pretty much all of the conspiracy theorists' claims.
