As I said previously, information about people hallucinating because of food or other substances they have ingested is very common and easy to find.

Yes. I spoke not too long ago here about an account I read regarding somebody who described things from a higher up position (something they had spotted on top of a locker) during an alleged astral projection. Interesting stuff, but still not equitable with evidence. Why hasn't this been recorded in laboratory conditions, if it is indeed common? The same can be asked of telepathy or the like.

I have. It's not my kind of thing. I have also read a few books on the phenomenon of people being in thrall to "the occult" and I have read about how people claim to have had OOBEs and the whole "field" of psuedo science surrounding it.

I asked you what enables you to differentiate between what is true and not true? And your answer seems to be that you read a book or some books that give you an explanation you like.

Surely somebody who believes in astral projection or out of body experiences would?

Any anyway, astral projection (or out of body experiences) are not restricted to near death experiences (apparently).

I had an operation that required general anesthetic in October 2021. Going under the effect of the general anesthetic was an extremely pleasant and interesting experience. I spent a moment or two observing the proceedings from about 20 ft away from about 8 ft off the ground. There I was, lying there, three people about to work on me, waiting for me to become unconscious. I remember they had asked me to pray so that they could hear when my voice petered out. I got mixed up somewhere in the middle of my slow motion Hail Mary. General anesthetic. Very pleasant. I wish I could get a little bit of it as a pill that didn't knock me out completely so that I could use it for listening to the Grateful Dead playing second set jams of an evening.

Well, if you didn't write one, is it a surprise?
