Sicilian Sausage just passed on some info I'd forgot about having heard it on the news today in my car away from the internet. I think it would be VERY COOL to make Neil the first person buried on the moon. I don't think anyone's been left behind there, right?

Sounds like a plan but I think that he will have to undergo extensive training to be the first dead astronaut. I wish him luck and safe passage on his trail blazing mission.

Might be a bit hard to film...

Or outside the sound stage in the Mojave Desert where they did the original Apollo 11 filming?

Although I dont always agree with you, thats a nice thought. Armstrong was total class, a true pioneer, a true hero. And EXTREMELY humble. I like the thought but the billions it would take to get him up there I couldnt justify. All the same, a nice thought.

As a follow up, maybe its just urban legend, but I think I heard once thats James Doohan (of Scotty fame in the original star trek) has his ashes blasted into space when he died.

Neil Armstrong is the reason I became an astronaut. Sometimes when i'm skimming the Earth's atmosphere at unbound speeds I can almost touch God. Bury him on the moon and damn the cost.

Bury him in Sudbury....remember that's where they "practiced" the moon stuff 'cause it was pretty much what the surface of the moon was supposed to be like.
