There are a number of players that would set up 1/0 games with the hope that the opponent will get timed out. It works both ways though, you can also time them out if you have the chance.
While that wouldn't be my strategy because I like to play chess, it could be a perfectly valid strategy for other people.
I do see your point, but it is perfectly fair. It wouldn't have been fair if you were forced to play the game (you could have declined), or if you and him operated by a different set of rules.
It is frustrating when it happens. It has happened to me a number of times, but just have to accept it.

You time opponents out, you get timed out - thats life as a chess player at RHP.

based on his provocational remarks both before and after I PM'd him I have no reason to play him now. I have no reason to believe he will play fairly, which is what I am about. In replying this I already know what your next post's will be concerning and guess what I DONT CARE what you think or say beyond this point. I have made my feelings clear on those who time out games WHEN THEY ARE LOSING to avoid a loss. Alas... even tho I have valiantly faced the oppession of evil...
