Er...because it's obviously something he's worked towards. Shows some degree of dedication, don't you think?

I'm not sure. helden, any chance of clarification on this? Where's the gratification in making hundreds of moves a day (some good, some bad, who cares so long as moves are being made? ) against players all rated hundreds of points below you?

Was it an aim of yours to overtake the Cat (who I must add always played an excellent game, even while moving faster than the sound of light.), so that random people you don't know can congratulate u in the forums?

Sorry for probably sounding nastier than I meant to. Send out King Scotty to have a word with me, if u wish.

I will never be much good at chess, sometimes play well others diabolical. The people I play are probably about what my rating should be as I only started playing on here last year after never playing since I was at school a long time ago, and then I was never much good. Claim to fame then was I held the East of Scotland under 14 champion to a draw, mind you I only had the King left. Sorry if I am upsetting a lot of people on here but we all can't be great at chess can we? It's only a bit of fun anyway. It became a sort of phobia with me to get to top of the Map. At least Scotland are top at something.

I agree. It's not a real achievement at all if you aim to do it like that, just a bragging point.

Don't these people have anything else to do with their time?

Cheers for the clarification.

Don't forget that Scotland are near the top for being fun drunks as well, just behind the Irish, and leagues ahead of the English. πŸ˜‰

English win hands down though when it comes to binge drinking and the associated public disorder.

Ah yes, but note the classification was "fun drunks", not just drunks.
