Personally I think that the forums have reached a size that it is impossible to moderate as a whole. I think the best bet would be to leave the current mods as overall mods and introduce new submods with lesser powers (the ability to hide posts but not to ban posters or something) except in a particular forum where they have full mod powers.
So there would be a mod of Debates who could do a little damage control in General if required but would mainly stick to cleaning up Debates (which definitely need cleaning, the racists are tracking mud into the carpet).

I'm not going to bother bringing up examples and names, becasue I don't care to be bombarded. The overall feeling I get in the public forums is, if you object to a statement, or voice an opinion that doesn't line up with a certain group member's (PFC), you can expect to have past arguments twisted into nonsense, and backed by some of the group (PFC). Unfounded and disturbing accusations are made freely, and it is impossible to argue because your statements are ignored, or distorted into a different meaning.

Overall, the public forums, to me, are either boring because people have to tiptoe with each word, or mean spirited, which is why I've been staying away, for the most part.

It's not this instance alone that turns me off, it's the setup of having a very abrasive subgroup of a group(PFC), which is led by a moderator. I've been subjected to the nastiness repeatedly, and was not the first stonethrower. My clan has been attacked as well.

It reeks of favoritism (IMO), and is (IMO) not the way the place should be run.

You've obviously misinterpretted those statements. She was just thanking you for reconsidering your banning of Stocken and ultimately reversing your decision after your thoughtful reconsideration. At least, that's what I got out of it.
