@Ghost-of-a-Duke saidNot to quibble about the house rules, but may I ask if it would be okay to perch upon a beanbag à la "L" (for the sake of us whose knees are starting to sound a little gristly), and are the house napkins made of waxed cloth (e.g., in case of soup or stew)?
You sit on the bean bag, eat from a napkin.
@Very-Rusty saidI probably shouldn't.
Hey, I was trying to be A Nice CANADIAN!!! 😛 OH yes and TRUMP SUCKS LEMONS!! Use your imagination what I might be thinking.

I hope you are not also trying to provoke me into getting myself banned again.

@A-Unique-Nickname saidYou seem to get away with it. Why is that?
Usually it's for being an all around a$$hat 😉
@Very-Rusty saidBunch of Archons -- all of you!
Rumor has it odds are being taking on when you will get another ban. 😉

@Ghost-of-a-Duke saidOn second thought, yeah maybe (if you meant the club), but I don't think I could come up with a charter or overall intent for such a club that wouldn't overlap with yours and Pondy's. Maybe we should consider some kind of Venn diagram to find the right niche?
I say we should all send a request to join his defunct team, spring it back to life with a new identity.
Plus, if I were to advertise the club as (for instance) a hangout place for latter-day Theosophists, accidental mystics, and bright young people (of any age) of the 21st century whose prose many others might find insufferable -- many might correctly consider that joining such a club could put a target on their backs.
Well, every string of words probably contains the seeds of its own regret.
Magister Ghost, it seems I might only bring trouble to your establishment, and therefore the most correct and polite thing for me to do would be to bow out, even if I continue to "bother" people in other threads.
So maybe I should retire to the ChongQing Buffet across the road (which is farther away timewise than one might imagine, because of the escalators) where I generally feel more welcome or at least less particularly shunned despite my dodgy streaming-video Mandarin.
Not your fault. Meiguanxi. Meishi, meishi.
@Kevin-Eleven saidAll are welcome in the tavern. We only ask that patrons respect the beanbags.
The General Forum is such a welcoming place.
